First Year Associates / Junior Associates
We believe that the best lawyers are frequently the most “complete” professionals and so we take a holistic approach to professional development for those just starting their legal careers. Our goal is to help young lawyers develop essential skills and broad-based knowledge instead of narrow niches of legal expertise—especially at the outset of their careers.
We set no timetable or hierarchy for associate responsibility—except to increase the challenge steadily to enable each attorney to expand his or her skillset. The type of work assigned to associates is limited only by their desire and capabilities.
First Year Associates are fresh graduates, having successfully attained their LL.B. (or J.D.) while junior associates must also have attained their law licence and have junior associates in a law firm or corporate legal department. Our lawyers are required to be fluent in English and have excellent analytical, communication, diplomacy, legal research, and writing skills. Because you will have direct, frequent contact with clients from the outset, you must be able to communicate legal matters clearly and concisely to foreign clients and management.

Law school provides you the foundation with which to understand and analyze legal concepts and applications, but there is no substitute for practical experience. Becoming a legal intern not only exposes you to real-world legal situations, but also gives you the advantage of jump starting your legal career while you are still in university.
We believe that cultivating excellent legal professionals should start as early as possible. Because we are a small firm, interns do much more than make coffee or file documents. They are immediately challenged with real tasks for real clients, gaining invaluable practical experience as they assist our legal teams.

A successful law firm not only needs an experienced and innovative legal team, but must also have reliable and efficient support staff. From secretaries to accountants, our admin team is integral to effectively meeting our clients’ needs. We offer more than just a paycheck – our support staff are respected and rewarded as the firm grows and succeeds.
Previous experience with a law firm or an in-house legal department is highly desirable, but suitable candidates from other sectors will also be considered. We expect our support staff to work well with others, be willing to take initiative and be independently motivated, and to have a good command of English.
